About our school

Kalinda is a School for Specific Purpose (SSP) located in Griffith and provides specialist education for students with additional learning needs from Kindergarten to Year 12. The school supports students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities and/or Autism, many of whom also experience secondary disabilities such as sensory needs, vision or hearing impairments, physical disabilities, and complex mental health challenges. Our school provides a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment where every student is recognised and supported to achieve their full potential.

Kalinda School staff members work in collaboration with parents, therapists and the Griffith Community of NSW Public Schools to support all students to develop the skills and strategies required for them to reach their full potential: socially, emotionally, academically and physically, whilst, preparing them for independent living beyond school.

We work with families, carers and support staff to develop personalised learning and support plans which tailors the learning to the needs of each student.
